Abstract
The study is devoted to understanding the semantics of the toponym Uchquduq in the title of the song “Uchquduq three wells”, which serves to reflect linguistic consciousness both in the toponymic sphere and in song content. We prove that the process of toponym nomination should be considered as a result of human cognitive activity, during which a person chooses a certain feature that serves as the basis for naming. We substantiate that a proper name in itself cannot be considered a semantically significant onomalexeme for the reason that it is semantically significant only as part of a stable substantive phrase that includes a common name and a proper name. Any geographical object is named twice: “Uchquduq village” or “Moscow city”. We establish that depending on the motivation of the nominator and the perceiving subject, mental levels are distinguished in the semantics of toponyms, representing the address and nominative, pragmatic, self-identifying and symbolic functions that serve to understand the text of the song. At the mental level, our knowledge of the song “Uchquduq three wells” reflects the cognitive experience of oriental culture. We prove that the success of a song is seen as a reflection of the cognitive and creative potential of its authors a unique type of poetic linguistic personality, which is embodied in two forms the author and the addressee, objectifying the international view of the poetic picture of the world.
