Abstract

INTRODUCTION. The article examines the intertextual connections of the spiritual poetry of Vasily Dmitrievich Fedorov, with an emphasis on his poem “Parable” with fragments of the Holy Scriptures of the New and Old Testaments. The purpose of the study is to reveal the spiritual and philosophical aspects of the poet’s work, as well as to draw parallels between his work and the work of Albert Camus “The Myth of Sisyphus. Essay on the Absurd”. The relevance of the study is due to the need for modern philological science to interpret the spiritual lyrics of V.D. Fedorov in the context of patristic exegesis using modern methods of text analysis.

MATERIALS AND METHODS. The text of V.D. Fyodorov’s poem “Parable” is a system of multi-level units, the analysis of which facilitates a deeper penetration into the author's artistic concept. Both general scientific and special linguistic methods are used: exegetical, comparative and intertextual.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION. It was revealed that in the poem “Parable” Fedorov emphasizes the meaning of labor and personal responsibility of a person, focusing on cooperation with God. Unlike the myth of Sisyphus, Fedorov’s hero is aware of his choice and strives to fulfill the Divine plan, which fills his actions with meaning and purpose.

CONCLUSION. The work demonstrates that Fedorov’s poetry has deep spiritual significance that is relevant to the modern reader. Prospects for the study may include further analysis of the author’s other works in the context of religious and philosophical ideas.
