Топосы как часть аргументационных схем и их роль в создании позитивного образа «себя» и негативного образа «другого»

Проведен анализ основных топосов, применяемых англоязычными изданиями для построения своей аргументации с целью конструирования негативного образа иммигрантов. Актуальность такого исследования обусловлена спецификой тенденций конструирования дискурса иммигрантов и различных его аспектов, что подтверждается большим количеством научных работ как в отечественной, так и в зарубежной науке. Цель данного исследования – анализ основных топосов, актуализирующих дискурсивное воспроизводство негативного отношения к иммигрантам в англоязычной прессе. Материалом анализа явились новостные сообщения из американского еженедельного журнала “Time”, американского информационного канала “FoxNews” и британских изданий “The Daily Mail”, “The Guardian” и “The Telegraph”. Основной методологической базой исследования послужил критический дискурс-анализ, основу которого составляет понимание дискурса как формы социального взаимодействия. В результате проведенного исследования установлено, что властные элиты, используя средства массовой информации, конструируют выгодное для властного блока общественное мнение в отношении «других», формируют и поддерживают отрицательные образы «чужих» как представителей иных рас, этносов и культур. Проанализированы основные языковые средства, указывающие на топосы в отношении иммигрантов, приведены конкретные примеры, демонстрирующие особенности функционирования топосов в англоязычных изданиях.
