Abstract
The issues of conceptual research in modern linguistics, one of the new cognitive and linguacultural directions are considered. The notion “picture of the world” arose at the turn of the 19th-20th centuries and it is fundamental in cognitive linguistics. V. von Humboldt wrote that man’s thinking and his conception of the world are determined by a concrete language. The language picture of the world is formed taking into account the national specificity of the language, as well as the world outlook of the people. Thus, the language can be considered as a reflection of the linguistic picture of the world of an individual ethnos. The concept is the basis of the linguistic picture of the world. Conceptual analysis is made in order to reconstruct all knowledge and ideas of the concept. The concepts of the inner world of human, which are basic both in Russian and in Kazakh linguaculture are considered. Also the analysis of revealed symbolic features expressing complex ancient and other cultural ideas in the structure of concepts for uncovering and describing the ethnic originality of the verbalization of the ‘soul’ and ‘jan’ concepts are given. Also relations of the soul with the signs of the logos through the prism of the mythological and religious outlook of human are described.
